How
do I know what the horns will sound like on my
song?
We will send you a reference MP3 of your song with our horns
mixed in for your approval. Upon approval, you will receive
the seperated tracks so you will be able to mix them as you
wish in your audio program.
How long does it take to get my horn
tracks?
There are several factors that will determine how soon you
receive your tracks. Such as, how many songs you send, the
complexity of your song, and how you choose to receive the
final files. Most clients receive their horn tracks in less
than a week. We will give you an estimated deivery time and
as always are willing to work with you on your deadlines.
How do I
receive my final files?
We'll send you a link to download your final horn tracks from
our server. If you do not have a speedy internet connection
then at your discretion a CD will be sent via USPS or UPS.
We'll even overnight the files to you on CD.
What programs
and equipment do you use?
See the Gear We Use.
Can I give you
my ideas for how the horns should sound?
Absolutely. We'd love to have your thoughts. Though, we are
just as happy and more than able to create a custom horn
section without any direction.
Should I have a
scratch vocal on the track?
Yes. It is always recommended to have at least a scratch
vocal (if your song has vocals) so we'll have a better idea
how to arrange the horn section.
What is a
scratch vocal?
A scratch vocal is when you record a vocal track simply for
reference. It is not intended to be the "final" vocal track.
What format
will the final files be in?
WAV works best for most clients. Both PC and MAC will import
WAV files. If you need another format such as AIF or MP3 just
let us know.
Can you play
from the charts I create?
Sure. But a word of warning: If you haven't written horn
charts and are not familiar with the different instruments
and their ranges, etc. then it's best to just let us handle
it.
Should I
include a sampled keyboard sound on the track to give you an
idea of what I want the horn section to
do?
This is probably the easiest way for you to give us your
ideas of how and where the horns should appear on your track.
In this case, you should upload a reference track with the
horns and one without the horns.
How much does
this cost and do you give a discount if I need horns on more
than one song?
See Pricing.
Does it matter
how long my song is?
We try not to get to picky on song length. However, if we
feel your song exceeds average length then we will contact
you.
Is your work guaranteed?
Our work is guaranteed. We treat people the way we would want
to be treated. If, on the rare occasion, there is problem or
concern with your tracks then all we ask is that you give us
an opportunity to make it right. If there is no resolution
then we will refund any payments made. However, if you have
approved the final mix and have been given access to the
final files then there are NO refunds under any
circumstances.
When is payment due?
Payment is due when you place your order.
Can you just
bill me?
Sorry, we do not bill clients.
Can I talk to
you on the phone about my project?
Yes. Click on the Support page to find our contact
information.
Do I have to credit liveHORNS.com on my
project?
No. But, it sure would be nice if you did! Here's a simple
way to do it: Horns arranged and performed by Livehorns.com.
You can also name the specific players of each instrument if
you like. Just let us know and we'll send the names to you.
Are there any
copyright restrictions?
You may use our liveHORNS tracks in any way with the
exception of using our horns to create a sample CD. Hey!
We're trying to keep it real here!
• You can NOT distribute the horn tracks in ANY form unless
they are a part of your own songs/productions.
• You can NOT sell or give any part of the horn tracks, in
any format, to anyone unless the horns are mixed with your
own songs/productions.
• You can NOT edit or mix the horn tracks into any kind of

of any kind.
Who will hear
or have access to my tracks?

engineer. Our studio is a locked facility and visitors are
not allowed to "sit-in" on someone else's studio time. Your
music will be kept private and it will not be shared or
